Hi, my name is Lori Conine and I am the Small Group Sales Director for Ohio at Anthem.

At Anthem, we are part of the nation’s largest health benefits company and have been serving millions of members in Ohio for more than 75 years. Anthem is part of the BlueCard program through the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, which includes more than 90% of doctors and hospitals in the country.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has teamed up with the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce to provide access to affordable health care to Chamber members. We have two programs that benefit members of NOACC. The first is ChamberSaver which gives a discount off the premium of grandmothered and ACA medical and specialty plans.

With ChamberSaver, companies with 2-50 employees on fully-insured plans can save 1.4% and companies with 51-500 employees on fully-insured plans can save 1% on health insurance – and not just a few plans, but rather, on Anthem’s full range of health insurance offerings.

The second is The SOCA Benefit Plan, a self-funded solution for small employers that’s helping them save big. It is a multiple employer welfare arrangement (also known as a MEWA) that lets smaller employers join together to share in the overall claims risk. Partnering chambers in the SOCA Benefit Plan include Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance, Central Ohio Chambers of Commerce, Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Northern Ohio Area Chamber of Commerce, and Regional Chamber. By being part of a larger, self-funded pool, employers have financial protection backed by Anthem’s stop loss coverage.

With the SOCA Benefit Plan, small businesses can save up to 20-25% on their monthly medical premiums.

In addition to financial protection, employers can look forward to competitive rates, fixed predictable monthly payments, a variety of plan designs, Anthem’s broad Blue Access PPO provider network and critical pharmacy benefits, coverage for claims run-out and terminal liability coverage, expanded wellness offerings, and exclusive rates and plan options on specialty products including vision, life, disability, and more.

There is no sign up needed! Chamber members automatically have access to our plans. To get started in one of Anthem’s programs contact your local Chamber or NOACC for more information.
