ABOUT THE VIRIDI WELLNESS PROGRAM

We all know how detrimental climate change is to the natural world, but did you know it has a huge impact on our mental and physical health? Through the Viridi Wellness Program, members can allocate renewable energy certificates to their employees to help reduce their carbon footprint and offset their electricity use at home.

HELPING EMPLOYEES GO GREEN

 Viridi purchases Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) on your behalf and allocates them to your employees so they can “go green”. A REC represents energy produced by a renewable resource like wind, solar, or hydro. When 1,000 kWh of power is generated by a renewable resource, 1 REC is created, and that REC represents and tracks the renewable energy once it enters the electricity grid. Coincidentally, the average household in the U.S. uses a little under 1,000 kWh of electricity per month. Therefore…By purchasing 1 REC per month for each of your employees, you are effectively “greening up” some, if not all, of their home electricity use. We also plant one tree for each REC purchased!
